syp ("we," "our," or "us") is a hydration intelligence system developed by Hauzi LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the syp mobile application.

By using syp, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information

• Email address (used for authentication)
• First name (provided during onboarding)
• Profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)

Health and body data

• Body weight
• Height
• Age
• Biological sex
• Sport and training frequency
• Daily fluid intake logs

Usage and configuration data

• Hydration window settings (start and end time)
• Environment preferences (Normal or Heat)
• App usage patterns

We do not collect location data, contacts, or any information unrelated to hydration performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the syp experience:

• To calculate your personalized daily hydration target
• To evaluate your hydration behavior against pacing, timing, and consistency metrics
• To generate insights and recommendations within the app
• To authenticate your account and maintain session security
• To improve the accuracy of our hydration intelligence models

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth.

Personal data stored locally on your device uses AsyncStorage and is protected by your device's built-in security features.

We implement appropriate technical safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase to store and manage data. They process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Team features (future): If you are part of a team or organization using syp, authorized coaches or administrators may have access to your aggregated hydration data. You will be informed before this feature is enabled.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Health Data

syp collects body composition and hydration data to personalize your experience. This data is used only within the app to calculate targets and generate insights. It is not shared with health insurance providers, employers, or any third party for purposes beyond app functionality.

syp does not currently integrate with Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health platform. If this changes, you will be asked for explicit permission.

6. Children's Privacy

syp is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data through the app's Profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Export your data upon request

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of syp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
